This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use Deep Scan. By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1) What Deep Scan Does
Deep Scan is a discovery tool designed to help users find and organize publicly available information and links from third-party sources. Search results may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, and you should verify information independently.
2) Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (a) you provide it, (b) we collect it automatically, and (c) we receive it from third parties.
A) Information you provide
- Account/Profile (optional): name, email, phone number, login method.
- Search inputs: names/usernames/keywords you enter and filters you apply.
- Support communications: messages you send to us, feedback, attachments shared.
- Subscription details: transaction metadata. Payment details are handled by Google/Apple and not stored by us.
B) Information collected automatically
- Device & technical data: IP address, device identifiers, model, OS version, logs.
- Usage data: features used, screens viewed, time spent, interactions.
- Advertising data: advertising ID, ad impressions/clicks for measurement.
C) Permissions-based data (only if you allow)
Contacts / Address Book (optional)
We may access contact info to help you discover relevant matches, support invite features, reduce duplicates, and help prevent misuse/fraud. The app works without this, but some features may be limited.
Location (optional)
We may collect GPS or network-based location to provide location-relevant search experiences, improve relevance, and support security. We do not "broadcast" your precise location to others.
3) How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the Service (searches, results, preferences).
- Improve quality and safety (debugging, fraud prevention).
- Personalize experience (language, relevance).
- Marketing (updates, offers, interest-based ads).
- Legal compliance and enforcement of Terms.
4) Legal Basis for Processing
We process data based on Consent, Contract, Legitimate interests, or Legal obligation depending on location and context. You can withdraw consent anytime.

A) Service providers: Trusted vendors for cloud hosting, IT support, analytics, and payment processing.
B) Advertising partners: Sharing limited identifiers (IP, Ad ID) for personalized advertising measurement.

6) Public Information and Third-Party Sources
Search results include links from third-party sites. We don't control their practices; your interactions with them are governed by their policies.
7) Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for described purposes (Account data, search logs, marketing data). When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8) Your Choices and Controls
A) Permissions: Revoke contacts/location in device settings anytime.
B) Marketing: Unsubscribe via links or emailing support.
C) Ad targeting: Reset or limit Ad ID in device settings.
D) Access/Deletion: Request via Section 12.
9) Information About Non-Users
Searches may surface info about non-users. You can request removal or correction of your info by emailing dinesh@edwidtech.com with specific links and proof of identity.
10) Security
We use reasonable safeguards (encryption, access controls). However, no system is 100% secure.
11) International Transfers
Info may be processed in India or countries where vendors operate. We take steps to protect data during transfers.
12) Children's Privacy
Deep Scan is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
13) Changes to This Privacy Policy
Updates will be noted by the "Last Updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
